Irene Roberts a Long Time Resident of Elkridge Passes Away

ROBERTS, Irene L

88, of Elkridge, Maryland passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2014. She was born October 15, 1925 and was the daughter of late Hugh & Mattie Marcellus. 

She is predeceased by her husband Joseph C. Roberts Jr.  She is survived by her son Joseph C. Roberts III and his wife Mary; a daughter Sandra Knickman & her husband Lew; four grandchildren, Kim Simpson & her husband Jamie, Stephanie Stolte and her husband Frank, Bryan & April Roberts; six great-grandchildren, Chad, Dustin, Richie, Brooke, Maria and Lily all from Elkridge. 

Irene at one time owned & operated Joseph Roberts Produce & Snowball Stand which was known for their fresh hot roasted peanuts. She loved playing cards at the Senior Center & yelling BINGO at the E.V.F.D. The visitation is from 3-5pm & 7-9pm on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at the Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home. 

The funeral service will be held at 11am on April 11, 2014 at the Gary L. Kaufman Funeral Home followed by the burial at the Meadowridge Memorial Park. Father Travis will be officiating. In lieu of flowers, you may make donations to the Elkridge Volunteer Fire Department on her behalf.
