3 Arrested After Police Say Sex Solicitation Turned to Assault, Robbery (Update)

One person faces attempted murder charges.

Three people have been arrested and one faces an attempted murder charge in a case of sex solicitation gone wrong, according to Howard County Police.

On Feb. 22, just after 9:30 p.m., police say two women picked up the victim and brought him to the Best Western on the 6700 block of Dorsey Road. The victim’s intention was to pay for sex, police said.

Once at the hotel the two women, one of whom was an acquaintance of the victim, left the hotel room briefly, and then returned with a man, according to police.

The victim was assaulted and robbed, police said. He was taken to Shock Trauma with a head injury. Police spokeswoman Sherry Llewellyn said Tuesday that he has been released.

A 24-year-old woman from Dayton faces nearly a dozen charges, including attempted murder, assault and armed robbery.

A 22-year-old Columbia woman and a 30-year-old Dayton man face assault, armed robbery, theft and other charges.

According to Llewellyn, the victim does not face solicitation charges.

The 'victims' name should be mentioned. When you go around hiring prostitutes, which is illegal, you're bound to get busted.... Whether it be by police or the whore herself. He's not much of a victim in my eyes.

Agreed! He is not a "victim" to me either. He went looking for trouble and found it. Maybe the idiot has learned a lesson.

The real victims are the people at the establishments where he was running around in his underwear with blood running down his head and back after he had been beaten.

Sex solicitation is already considered wrong so how can it "go wrong?"
