Totally agree with Scoots. Pain Management was and is a big thing in the health care field. It has gotten out of control. Surgeons are allowing patients to obtain their post op narcotics preoperstively. Pain is subjective. But what's wrong with starting with acetaminophen or naproxen or ibuprofen as a pain reliever? Then if something stronger is needed, then re-evaluate. All doctors-surgical, medical, psychiatric-need to be educated on this. Yes, it does start with them and hopefully it can be brought to a manageable level. At least it could be a start. The drug cartels are a different story. They should definitely be killed. The world is just a mess. Now we have a 24 year okd goof who just murdered a kindergarten class in CT. My God. What is happening to our young people?

They are taught no one every loses and we are all equal at everything. When they find out they may have to try harder or that some people are better at some things then others they haven't ever had to develeope coping strategies and don't know how to handle it. It all gets blamed on right wingers desire to impress upon people that we are all responsible for ourselves so the cycle continues on a downword spiral.

You mean Doctors should be killed on site? Because the biggest drug problem in this country are prescribed drugs. You sound very knowledgeable, how long were you a drug addict?

As I read the comments, I had many thoughts... I agree with Steve. Life isn't fair, better to learn it and get used to it early. We need to have grades that mean something and rewards AND punishments. We need much better mental health care for everyone, but especially our youth. Drug addiction is a horrible thing however it comes about. The economy is horrible, it is hard for many people from many different walks of life now. Desperate people do desperate things. No matter what the cause, it needs to stop. I am in favor of right to carry laws. My husband and I came up with what we think is a brilliant idea today. Put the returning vets to work as armed security at our public buildings. Those that have earned sharpshooter status can be guards for our schools. Dress them in regular clothes, and have them perform a routine job. Like plain clothed air marshalls are used to prevent airplane violence. Folks will know they are there, but won't know where or whom.
