Elkridge 

Commercial burglary

Someone cut through the fence around a BGE substation on the 6700 block of Business Parkway on June 1 at about 10 a.m. The burglar stole about 4 feet of copper wire.

Someone was inside of an open garage on the 5300 block of Nightshade Court on June 2 at about 5:30 a.m. looking into a van.  The resident saw him and yelled out; the burglar left. Nothing was reported stolen.

A maintenance worker noticed on the morning of June 2 that the door to an apartment on the 5400 block of Columbia Road was wide open and no one was home. Nothing was reported stolen. 

Ellicott City 

Residential burglary

Two bicycles were stolen from an open garage on the 4000 block of Tiber Falls sometime between May 31 and June 1.

Glenelg

Residential burglary

Someone stole a Yamaha 4-wheeler from a shed on the 14800 block of Triadelphia Road sometime between May 31 and June 1. The burglar also stole a log splitter and a chainsaw. There were no signs of forced entry.  

Laurel

Residential burglary

Someone stole guns from an apartment on the 9000 block of Moonshine Hollow sometime between May 30 and May 31. 

Woodbine

Residential burglary

A resident of the 15600 block of Old Frederick Road found a window that she had closed – but hadn’t locked - was opened when she returned home on May 29. Several days later she reported a piece of jewelry had been stolen from the bedroom. 

Woodstock

Residential burglary

A man walked into a home through an unlocked door on the 10700 block of Folkestone on June 1 at about 8:45 p.m. He stumbled up the stairs, knocking things off the walls as the resident and her son left through the back door. When they arrived, police found the man still in the house. The 18-year-old Gwynn Oak man was charged with burglary and disorderly conduct. 

Fulton

Residential burglary

Someone broke into a home on the 7800 block of Browns Bridge Road on June 2 between 4 and 7:20 a.m. and stole a television.
