Death at Boulevard Motel, Two Indecent Exposures in Elkridge

Recent crime and fire reports from Elkridge include death, indecent exposure and assault.

On Wednesday afternoon, Howard County responded to what was reported as a medical emergency at the Boulevard Motel, according to police.

The call came in at 12:50 p.m., and emergency personnel responded to find a man dead, said police.

“Officers located a deceased male in one of the rooms. Preliminarily, it appears to be an unattended death and not suspicious,” said Elizabeth Schroen, spokeswoman for the Howard County Police Department.

Officers were still on the scene at approximately 4 p.m.

Monday, Dec. 5: A house fire was reported on Landing Road after 6 p.m. When units arrived, there was no fire, according to fire officials.

At 2:40 p.m., a break-in was reported on the 6400 block of Abel Street in which video game consoles, video games and a digital camera were stolen.

A male struck a female in the face on the 6600 block of Washington Boulevard after he asked her for money and she said she didn’t have any, reported at approximately 10 a.m. Police located the suspect, an Elkridge man who was subsequently charged with attempted robbery and second-degree assault.

Sunday, Dec. 4: The ramp between I 95 and MD 175 E was closed after a vehicle flipped over at approximately 3:15 p.m., according to police. One person was transported to Howard County General Hospital as a precaution.

A man in a red Honda exposed himself to an employee at the , reported at 5 a.m. 

Saturday, Dec. 3: Cash was taken from a residence on the 7700 block of Briarstone Court and the back door was smashed, reported at 11:30 p.m.

Tuesday, Nov. 29: A break-in was reported at Goodman Distribution (7597 Washington Blvd.) around 1:15 p.m. Nothing was reported stolen.

Monday, Nov. 28: Two break-ins were reported in apartments on the 6700 block of Old Waterloo Road. In both instances, the front door was pried open. A camcorder and keys were stolen from one apartment; nothing was taken from the other.

Cabinets and trim were stolen from a construction site on the 7100 block of Susans Pass.

Thusday, Nov. 24: A man reportedly exposed himself to someone on the 6000 block of Marshalee Drive at approximately 11:49 a.m. "Indecent exposure refers to the deliberate exposure to breasts, buttocks or genitals," said police in an email to Elkridge Patch. "This can occur in two ways, in a public place with members of the public present, or deliberately to an unconsenting victim (as was this case)."
