After Deep Run Burglary, Man Charged with DUI

The following information was provided by Howard County Police Department; arrests do not indicate convictions.


Howard County police arrested a Baltimore County man Monday morning after he broke into a home in  and drove away, under the influence of alcohol, said police.

Police said the man, who was from Gwynn Oak, burglarized the home of a woman living on the 6500 block of Baja Way in Elkridge.

According to police, the man knew the woman and used to live at the Elkridge residence. Prior to the burglary, he assaulted the woman, said officials.

"Right after leaving the scene of the burglary on Baja, he was quickly located and stopped by police," said Bryce Buell, spokesman for the Howard County Police Department.

Police pulled the suspect over on Old Waterloo Road at approximately 1 a.m. on March 12, according to court records. He was charged with assault, burglary and driving under the influence.
