Double Shooting at Nail Salon Leaves Two Critical

Police said the July 14 incident at Shipley's Grant shopping center was domestic in nature.

Two people are in critical condition after a shooting Saturday night at a nail salon off Waterloo Road, according to police.

At approximately 7 p.m. Saturday, an armed man entered Nail & Hair Care Spa in the Shipley’s Grant shopping center, according to a statement from the Howard County Police Department.

The man confronted a female employee and her male acquaintance and shot both of them, according to the statement.

Police said the suspect left immediately in a vehicle.

The victims, whose names have not been released, were taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where police said they were listed in critical condition as of 10:15 p.m. Saturday.

Preliminary evidence suggests the shooting was a domestic incident, according to police.
