Double Shooting at Nail Salon Leaves Two Critical

Police said the July 14 incident at Shipley's Grant shopping center was domestic in nature.

Two people are in critical condition after a shooting Saturday night at a nail salon off Waterloo Road, according to police.

At approximately 7 p.m. Saturday, an armed man entered Nail & Hair Care Spa in the Shipley’s Grant shopping center, according to a statement from the Howard County Police Department.

The man confronted a female employee and her male acquaintance and shot both of them, according to the statement.

Police said the suspect left immediately in a vehicle.

The victims, whose names have not been released, were taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, where police said they were listed in critical condition as of 10:15 p.m. Saturday.

Preliminary evidence suggests the shooting was a domestic incident, according to police.

I pray for the people who were shot but I also pray for the person who did this. My daughter who is 9 years old was in the salon at the time and visiting her dad from out of state. I can't even imagine that people are that crazy to risk other people's lives, safety or well being for their own foolish thoughts. My 9 year old daughter will never be the same because of how emotionally unstable this person was. I am devastated for the family members of the victims who were shot as well as my little girl who now realizes the world is filled with evil people but God was there to protect and watch over her. Im on my knees praying for the two in the hospital as they recover, at the same time pray to God my daughter does not suffer any emotional damage due to being exposed to such an evil and selfish act.

I am amazed at the complete selfishness and cowardness of someone who would commit such a crime in a place of business with others in danger. This was premeditated. I'm sure there will be a lot of people praying for your daughter, your family and the victims. It's good that it is summer when your little one can have plenty of TLC and love from your family and friends. God Bless You!
