Driver from 295 Road Rage Incident in Jail

The 25-year-old from Frederick County faces four assault charges.

 

Cody James Hickerson, 25, has been charged with assault and committed to the Baltimore City Detention Center this week after a series of  and landed several individuals in the hospital last weekend.

Hickerson, who lives in Frederick County, reportedly attacked a vehicle and hit two others after one driver honked at him Saturday while he was driving his truck.

As a result of the incident, which resulted in Hickerson's truck flipping over the median onto the hood of another car, the highway was closed for approximately three hours on June 9.

Hickerson was charged with two counts of first-degree assault and two counts of second-degree assault, according to court records.

Hickerson was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center, where he was released Monday, according to the center's spokeswoman. Four other people involved in the incident were also taken to the hospital, The Baltimore Sun reported.

Currently, Hickerson is being held at Baltimore City Detention Center.
