Elkridge Road Closure Sunday Due to Suicidal Man
Police said they closed Montgomery Road while they negotiated with the man.
Montgomery Road was closed Sunday morning as Howard County Police dealt with a suicidal subject, according to police.
A man called police at about 5:20 a.m., according to police spokesperson Sherry Llewellyn, and said he had a weapon and was going to harm himself.
Police blocked parts of Montgomery Road between Old Washington Boulevard and Route 1 while police negotiators convinced the man to come out, Llewellyn said. The man was taken to the hospital.

Montgomery Road was reopened at about 2 p.m., according to Llewellyn.
