America's Most Wanted Features Ellicott City Double Shooting Suspect

With the Ellicott City nail salon double shooting suspect still at large months later, authorities have turned to TV for help in finding him.

Tuan Minh Pham, 35, of Beltsville was identified by the Howard County Police Department as the man who shot and injured a man and woman at the Nail & Hair Care Spa July 14.

Police were called to the spa on the 1500 block of Richards Valley Rd. in Ellicott City around 7 p.m. that day after an armed man shot a female and her male acquaintance, according the Howard County Police Department.

Pham, the father of the female victim's children, was caught on video surveillance at the Shipley's Grant nail salon, according to America’s Most Wanted, which featured him in a Sept. 28 episode.

Detectives from the Howard County Police Department participated in the America's Most Wanted show, said police spokeswoman Sherry Llewellyn.

Pham's last known whereabouts were Northern Virginia and authorities believe he is still in the country, the show reported.

In the days following the July incident, the Howard County Police Department offered a $2,500 reward for information about Pham, but he has not been found.

Pham was charged with two counts of first-degree attempted murder, two counts of second-degree attempted murder, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment, according to The Baltimore Sun.

There is no new information on the case, said Llewellyn, on Sept. 29.

Howard County police and America’s Most Wanted gathered this about Pham:

• He’s a car mechanic.
• He is 35 years old, approximately 5'6" and 160–180 pounds.
• He has a fish tattoo on his arm.
• He has family in Maryland, Texas and California.
• He frequents bars and gambling establishments.
• He had a 1998 gold/tan four-door Honda Accord with license plate 2AK0291.

The Howard County Police Department said that the shooting was "domestic- related."

According to America's Most Wanted, Pham was jealous that his ex-girlfriend, who worked at the Ellicott City nail salon and stopped seeing Pham in 2010 after discovering he had a wife in Vietnam, had a new boyfriend.

Pham is accused of shooting the new boyfriend's brother, who was waiting outside the salon for Pham's ex-girlfriend to get off work; Pham then went inside the salon and shot his ex-girlfriend, identified on TV as "Tina" (records show her legal name as Lan Phan). She is the mother of the suspect's two children, according to police. Police also said that the woman had a protective order against Pham.

Police said Pham fled the Ellicott City crime scene in a 1998 Honda Accord.

"If he knows I'm alive...he's going to come back and kill me," said Tina on America's Most Wanted. "I just want him to be found."
