'Five Below' Stores Raise Money for Fallen Firefighter's Family

Several stores, including the Elkridge location, are donating a portion of their sales from Feb. 13-19 to the family of Mark Falkenhan, the volunteer firefighter who was killed in the line of duty on Jan. 19.

Five Below stores are teaming together to help raise money for the family of the volunteer firefighter who was killed while battling a four-alarm apartment blaze in Baltimore County last month.

The participating stores—, Golden Ring, Hunt Valley, Owings Mills, Arundel Mills and Bel Air—have pledged to donate 10 percent of sales from Feb. 13–19 to the Baltimore County Fallen Firefighters Foundation fund set up to assist the family of Mark Falkenhan.

The 43-year-old Falkenhan, who lived in Middle River, . He left behind his wife, Gladys, and two sons, Christian, 14, and Garrett, 5. His niece, Christina Falkenhan, works for Five Below.

Those wishing to participate in this fundraiser are asked to bring in the attached flier and hand it to the cashier at the time of purchase.
