Hanover Man Identified in Fatal Dorsey Road Crash

Police said that poor lighting may have been one factor in the man's death.

Anne Arundel County police identifed a pedestrian killed by a car on Dorsey Road on Sunday evening as Robert Henry Mundell of Hanover.

Mundell, 66, who lived in the 7400 block of Dorsey Road, was walking on the right lane of Dorsey Road just west of Ridge Road when he was struck by a Mazda 6, police said. He was approximately one mile from home when he was struck.

Emergency personnel found Mundell lying on the right side of Dorsey Road at 7:58 p.m., according to  a news release from the Anne Arundel County Police Department.
