Hitchhiker on Route 1 Ends Up in Hospital
Police said the man was robbed, stabbed in Elkridge after getting in vehicle.
A man who hitched a ride along Route 1 over the weekend was robbed and assaulted in Elkridge, said police. He reportedly woke up near Church Avenue and Race Roads several hours later.
On Sunday at approximately 5 a.m., a man was walking northbound on Route 1 near the station when he was offered a ride, police said.
After the man got in the vehicle, which contained three individuals, the rear passenger pulled a gun and stole the victim's wallet, reported officials.

When the man resisted, he was assaulted and cut with a knife; police said that he awoke by Church Avenue and Race Roads and called 911 at approximately 10:30 a.m. He was taken to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with non-life-threatening injuries, said police.
The driver was described as a white female in her 20s with blond hair and wearing a pink T-shirt; one passenger was a dark-complexioned black male in his early 30s, of stocky build, reportedly wearing a white tank top and red baseball hat; the other passenger was described as a dark-complexioned black man in his mid-30s, of medium build, wearing a red T-shirt and red baseball hat.
