Information Wanted About Goat

A child found "Tuscany" Thursday on River Road with a heavy chain hanging from her neck, according to Anne Arundel County Police.

Anne Arundel County Animal Control is asking residents for help finding the owners of a small female goat found on River Road last week.

According to a police press release, an 11-year-old child found the goat, named "Tuscany," wandering on River Road in Linthicum on Thursday. The child's family kept the goat overnight and contacted animal control the next day.

The goat had a chain weighing more than 23 pounds hanging from her neck, which had become embedded in her neck. The family took Tuscany to Animal Control to remove the chain, which ended up having to be surgically removed.
