Montgomery Woods Catburglar Strikes Overnight

The following information was provided by the Howard County and Anne Arundel County Police Departments.


While people were sleeping in Elkridge on Monday, someone made off with their wallets and a cell phone, said police.

Police said the suspect(s) entered a residence on the 5800 block of Steepridge Dr. through a rear sliding glass door.

The burglary in Montgomery Woods occurred between midnight and 8:30 a.m. on Monday, April 16.

Theft at Arundel Mills Skate Shop

Three men stole watches from Zumiez, a skate shop at Arundel Mills Mall in Hanover, on Monday afternoon.

Police said at approximately 2:41 p.m., one man pressed what was believed to be a handgun into the back of a clerk, demanding the display case be opened.

According to the report, the suspects forced open the case, stole an "unknown quantity of watches" and took off from the mall in a black passenger car.

Montevideo Man Involved in Assault

A 22-year-old man from Montevideo Court was charged with burglary, assault, destruction of property and theft after breaking into a Savage residence on Friday, April 13.

Police said he forced his way into a home on the 8800 block of Carrollton Avenue at approximately 9:08 p.m., assaulted two people and took a cell phone.
