Man on scooter with her is hospitalized in critical condition.

The woman killed in a scooter crash on Interstate 95 in Baltimore County last week has been identified by authorities as Gina Teresa Griffin, 51. Victor Angelo Huntley, 47, who was riding with her, was reported in critical but stable condition at Maryland Shock Trauma Center.

It was not known which one of the Baltimore residents was driving the scooter, which crashed with a Honda Accord at 11:53 p.m. Thursday on the southbound side of the highway near the Baltimore Beltway interchange.

Sgt. Jeff Kirschner, a Maryland State Police spokesman quoted by The Baltimore Sun Saturday night, said few details were available and an investigation continues.

The driver of the Accord was not hurt. The accident occurred near Exit 49A in Baltimore County. Southbound I-95 was closed until about 6 a.m. Friday morning due to the mishap.

Maryland State Police said earlier the two were on a 50 cc motor scooter wearing no helmets nor safety equipment traveling southbound on I-95 when they were struck by a green Honda Accord in the vicinity of the Beltway inner loop.
