Police Offer Reward in Jessup Liquor Store Robbery

Suspect was armed in July 12 robbery at Woody's Liquor, according to police.

The Howard County Police Department is offering up to $500 for information leading to the arrest of a man who robbed a Jessup liquor store at gunpoint earlier this month, according to a statement the department issued Thursday.

At approximately 1:20 p.m. on Thursday, July 12, police responded to Woody's Liquor & Bar in Jessup after a man entered the store, held up a gun and demanded money, according to the statement.

Police said that after the clerk gave the armed man the money, the suspect fled into the woods behind the store, which is on the 8800 block of Washington Boulevard.

The Howard County Police Department released the following description of the suspect:

  • Black male
  • 5’ 6”
  • Small goatee
  • Wearing a black and blue baseball hat with “FML” imprinted on it
  • Had on sunglasses, black long-sleeve shirt and blue jeans
