More than 200 people showed up for the opening of the new North Laurel Community Center on Whiskey Bottom Road on Friday.

Howard County Executive Ken Ulman, Recreation and Parks Director John Byrd and Councilwoman Jen Terrasa spoke to the crowd, made up of many middle and high school kids anxious to play.
