SHA Work Begins on Southwestern Boulevard

Work to underground tributary of Herbert's Run will slow traffic in area of MARC station.

Beginning on Wednesday, the State Highway Administration will begin a project to clean and repair underground pipes beneath Southwestern Boulevard between the Halethorpe MARC station and Washington Boulevard.

During construction work, shoulders will be closed south of the MARC station between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 7 p.m. and 5 a.m., Sunday to Thursday.

The pipe repair project is expected to continue through early fall, weather permitting.
