Sun: Man Charged for Attempting to Take Handgun Through BWI Security

A Carroll County man was arrested Tuesday after a handgun was detected in his carry-on luggage at BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport, the Baltimore Sun reported.

The Baltimore Sun reported that a Carroll County man was arrested and charged after a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agent detected a handgun in his carry-on luggage while going through screening at BWI Thurgood Marshall Airport Tuesday morning.

Christopher Glen College, 44, of Hampstead was arrested when an X-ray machine operator noticed the 44-caliber handgun in his carry-on luggage, the Sun reported.

College is scheduled to appear in Anne Arundel County District Court for trial of the case on Nov. 17, according to court records.
