Ducketts Lane School Construction on Schedule, on Budget

A schools spokesperson said this month the new Elkridge elementary school is still on schedule to open Aug. 12.

The new elementary school being built on Ducketts Lane in Elkridge is on schedule and on budget, said Howard County schools spokesperson Rebecca Amani-Dove this week.

In addition, the exterior brick and stone of the building is scheduled to be completed in mid-June, according to Amani-Dove.

Construction on the building began in March of 2012. At the time, residents testified at a public meeting that the school's construction would cause traffic buildup and quality of life issues.
