Pumpkin Auction at Deep Run (PHOTOS)
Classes created Angry Birds and other characters out of pumpkins that parents could purchase.
Before its annual Halloween parade, Â showcased its pumpkins.
Each grade at the Elkridge school came up with a design, and parents could bid on the creations on Oct. 31.
Proceeds go to a discretionary fund, said administrators, who cited buying books for children who can't afford them as an example of a cost the money could cover.
