UPDATED: Record Crowd at Library's Evening in the Stacks Fundraiser

Money raised will go toward Howard County Library's educational programs.

A record 664 people attended the 15th fundraiser, held Saturday at the new in Ellicott City, library officials said Monday.

Celebrity bartenders including County Council President Mary Kay Sigaty and former Economic Development Authority CEO Dick Story, and a host of other special guests attented the 7:30–11:30 p.m. event.

Howard County Library spokeswoman Andrea Misner said $91,000 was raised through the $125 per person fundraiser. Money will go toward the library’s educational programs, she said.
