VIEWFINDER: Imagination on Display at Rockburn Enrichment Fair

Rockburn Elementary students got creative in their school projects.

As the year wraps up, teachers and students are putting their best work on display, and in Elkridge, that includes pillow boomerangs and dragon board games.

"I had no idea they were doing this. Did you?" one dad asked during the Enrichment Fair at on Wednesday evening. He was looking at a table of inventions displayed in the Elkridge school's media center, models like a self-service dog feeder and a laundry machine where clothes fall from washer to dryer through a hatch.

The fair was a chance for students to showcase their work and for their parents to see what they had learned, then take it home. If only popsicle-stick bridges could be taped to the refrigerator...
