"The game was very exciting. The weather was a factor, as it was so cold the players had a tough time holding the ball.

Damascus took an early 6-0 lead, but my players never panicked.  We tied up the game and then got the ball back with about two minutes left in the half.

With time running out, we moved the ball down field and scored with a few seconds remaining. The score at half-time was 12-6. Damascus had never trailed in a game all season. In fact, to date, they had only given up 22 points.

We shut down their best player, and our defense confused them in general.

It was a great team win...The crowd was so large and so loud the players could barely hear the play calls from the sideline. It was an awesome night!"

Vittori said that his team's record is now 12-0, with a total of 351 points scored this season and 18 points given to other teams.

The Hurricanes are leading their division for mid-Maryland.

"This is the second year that our 11-13 Federal team has won the Mid Maryland Super Bowl," Vittori told Elkridge Patch.

"The state playoff tournament begins next Saturday," said Vittori. The location has yet to be determined.
