Where Are You Watching Orioles Wildcard Game?

The Orioles didn't secure a home playoff game, so here are places to watch the game with perhaps hundreds of your closest friends.

The last time the Baltimore Orioles were in the postseason, Twitter hadn't been invented, Justin Bieber was three years old and President Bill Clinton was not yet a year into his second term.

The Orioles (93-69) take the field tonight at Rangers Ballpark in Arlington for the one-and-done American League wildcard game. Baltimore will send Joe Saunders to the mound to face star rookie Yu Darvish. The winner goes or stays home to face the New York Yankees in the American League Division Series. The loser just goes home.

Interestingly, though the wildcard round is new for this year, since both the Orioles and Rangers have the same record, the game would have been played anyway under old tiebreaker rules, though it would not have been an official part of postseason play. The game is being played at Texas because the Rangers boast a better record in head-to-head play.

MLB announced Friday that the winner of tonight's AL wildcard game will take the field at 5 p.m. Eastern Time on Sunday. Again, if the Orioles win tonight, that's at Camden Yards.

It's safe to say that any bar in the area with a television will be tuned to the games. But where's your favorite haunt to catch tonight's action? I for one will be at Dempsey's at Camden Yards. Because whether the Orioles are at home or away, there ought to be a celebration on Eutaw Street should they win.

The Stained Glass Pub in Elkridge will be broadcasting the game, and invites fans to wear orange during its late night happy hour.
