Snow Timeline for Howard County

The National Weather Service issued an alert for Howard County based on snow predictions.

Maryland transportation officials advised drivers to allow extra time for their Monday morning commutes, as snow blankets the region.

Howard County is under a winter weather advisory, meaning snow-covered roads and limited visibility may make traveling difficult.

The National Weather Service issued the advisory for Howard, Montgomery and southern Baltimore counties, stating that two to five inches of snow may accumulate.

It will rain overnight, with precipitation changing to snow at dawn, according to the weather service.

The heaviest snowfall was expected Monday morning, according to the forecast.

The weather service reported the snow should move east by the afternoon.

The winter weather advisory is in effect from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday.
