The fast-food chain will give away a free pre-selected breakfast entree on Jan. 24, 31 and Feb. 7.

Chick-fil-A restaurants across the Baltimore region will be giving away free breakfasts to customers who recite a morning catch phrase. Between 6:30 and 10 a.m. on Jan. 24, 31 and Feb. 7 customers who say “The early bird gets the chicken” at the register will receive a free pre-selected breakfast entree, according to a release. It's not Halloween, but some people dressed up in costumes on Friday, in the name of free food. Herds of people dressed like cows are making their way to Chick-Fil-A for the restaurant's "Cow Appreciation Day," when customers dressed like cows get a free meal. Patch spoke to a few of the "cows" at the Chick-Fila-A at Dobbin Center in Columbia. Check out the video above to see what they said. Did you dress up like a cow? For Cow Appreciation Day on Friday, cow-costumed customers can eat for free.

Who doesn’t love cows? They are cute, they moo and they provide us with milk. And now they have their own Cow Appreciation Day. Chick-fil-A stores nationwide, including the ones at Arundel Mills, Columbia and Lansdowne, will be celebrating Cow Appreciation Day with free food on Friday.  “For one day only, black and white spots, cow bells and furry ears will be appropriate attire at Chick-fil-A restaurants all across the nation," according to the company's website. Those who come dressed in a partial cow costume will get a free entrée, and those who come dressed “head to hoof” will receive a free meal.
