Water Shut Off Friday Afternoon at Two Elkridge Schools (Updated)

Water was shut off Friday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. at Elkridge Elementary School and Elkridge Landing Middle School after a broken water pipe nearby caused issues, a school administrator said in an email alert Friday. The Howard County Department of Education sent a water truck to the area to keep the school toilets flushed, according to the notice sent via email Friday. Water will be shut down after all school lunches have been served, according to a note to the school community from Diane Mumford, Elkridge Elementary School principal.
