Hanover Residential burglary Police say someone entered a home on the 6400 block of Anderson Avenue on Feb. 1 between 1 and 7 p.m. by kicking in a back door. Jewelry and silver flatware were reported stolen. Columbia Residential burglary According to Howard County Police, a man entered a home on the 7400 block of Setting Sun Way on Feb. 2 at about 7:45 p.m. through an unlocked door. The resident asked the man to leave several times, police said, and he eventually did. Nothing was reported stolen. Police later received a call from the Corner Stable Restaurant on the 8600 block of Guilford Road for a man who was taking his clothes off and urinating. Elkridge Commercial burglary Police say someone was able to get access to the roof of Deep Run Elementary School sometime between Jan. 25 and Jan. 28. The burglar stole copper from an HVAC unit, according to police, then entered two air handler units. Police say the burglar cut the copper pipes from the units, but could not retrieve them because of the scalding hot water. Police say there was significant flooding damage to the school. Ellicott City Residential burglary On Jan. 27 at about 5:20 p.m., a caller told police that she saw a male ringing doorbells on the 4600 block of Morgan Court. Elkridge Commercial Burglary - Holly Sales - Howard Lane An unknown amount of cash was taken from a cash register and a rear window was damaged at Holly Sales near the 6300 block of Howard Lane around 8 p.m. on Dec. 10. Columbia Commercial Burglary - Well Being Massage Studio - Twin Knolls Road A register was pried open at Well Being Massage Studio on Twin Knolls Road and $100 was stolen sometime between 6 p.m. on Dec. 11 and 11 a.m. on Dec. 12. No signs of forced entry were reported. Residential Burglary - Iron Pen Place Jewelry and a laptop were reported stolen from a residence near the 5300 block of Iron Pen Place sometime between 11:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. on Dec. 10. Elkridge Commercial Burglary – Best Buy Warehouse – Business Parkway A female security guard sitting outside the Best Buy warehouse near the 6600 block of Business Parkway was reportedly bound by two suspects after they broke into her vehicle by smashing the driver’s side window. Police reported the suspects told the victim they were going to take equipment from Best Buy. After hearing the suspects leave, the victim was able to untie herself and call 911. Investigators found the building and trailers secure and nothing missing. Commercial Burglary – 6900 O’Conner Drive A rear window was smashed at Stolar Construction near the 6900 block of O’Conner Driver, but a representative of the business found nothing missing or disturbed around 10 p.…

Elkridge Commercial burglary Police say someone used a metal tool to pry a door open at NelBud, on the 6300 block of South Hanover Road sometime between Nov. 25 at 3 a.m. and 9:40 a.m. the next day. The burglars stole a video monitor and two televisions, according to police. Sometime between Nov. 27 at 5 p.m. and 8 a.m. the next day, someone entered Brass Sales Co. on the 6300 block of Howard Lane. Police say there were no signs of forced entry and a small amount of cash and coins were stolen. Elkridge: On Oct. 16, sometime between 8 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., police say suspects pried open a shed on the 6000 block of Hanover Road and stole a Honda motor scooter. A resident reported that on Oct. 12 the resident’s son came by to check on the home on the 7900 block of Butterfield Road and he found a back window broken. Police say suspects got into the home and ransacked it, leaving through the front door. The only thing reported missing from the home was the key to a deadbolt lock.
