Elkridge Robbery/ Assault A man found in the 6200 block of Sandrise Court was bleeding from his mouth and moaning. He said he was jumped by three people while walking along U.S. 1 near the Elkridge Library sometime early in the morning on April 19. The man said the attackers took his cell phone. Police reported he was punched in the face and stomach. Columbia Robbery Two men met an unknown female in a parking lot in the 5600 block of Harpers Farm Road around 8:45 p.m. on April 16. The female asked if the men could walk her home, which they agreed to do. While doing so, one of the men was attacked by 10 to 15 men, according to police. Elkridge Armed Robbery A man was walking on Old Stockbridge Road near Village Drive when a slow-moving black sedan pulled up next to him. Then a person described by police as a black male, about 6-foot-2, 230 pounds, wearing all black, jumped out of the car and pointed a gun at the man, demanding everything he had. The man handed over his wallet and iPhone, and the armed man fled in the car with another unidentified man. The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. on March 6. Construction Site Burglary Copper water piping and fittings were removed from eleven different townhouses under construction in the 7400 block of Singers Way sometime between March 1 and March 4. Elkridge Robbery One person was sent to University of Maryland Shock Trauma after an attempt to pay for sex went wrong, according to Howard County Police. On Feb. 22, just after 9:30 p.m., police say two women picked up the victim and brought him to a hotel on the 6700 block of Dorsey Road. The victim’s intention, according to police, was to pay for sex. Once at the hotel the two women, one of whom was an acquaintance of the victim, left the hotel room briefly, and then returned with a man, according to police. They assaulted and robbed the victim; he had to be taken to Shock Trauma for a head injury. Police say they are investigating.
