A vigil was held Saturday to remember Jeffrey Ryan Giles, 19, of Linthicum, who died in a car crash in Elkridge Friday night.
Following a fatal crash Friday night in Elkridge, about 150 people gathered at North County High School in Glen Burnie on Saturday evening to remember Jeffrey Ryan Giles, 19, of Linthicum, who graduated from the school in 2010, according to The Capital. Giles was one of two teens killed on Lawyers Hill Road in Elkridge when the car they and three others were traveling in hit a tree, said Howard County police. Giles and Jonathon Lloyd Deckman, 18, of Severn, were pronounced dead at the scene of the collision. Two teens were killed Friday night when the car they and three others were traveling in hit a tree on Lawyers Hill Road, said police. Police said that the five teens from Anne Arundel County were in a 2008 Pontiac GT heading westbound on the 6200 block of Lawyers Hill Road in Elkridge when the driver lost control, crossed the eastbound lane and struck a tree. A witness called to report the crash, said Elizabeth Schroen, spokeswoman for Howard County Police Department (HCPD).
