The Howard County Police Department supplied the following information.
Copper pipes and copper fittings were stolen from a construction site on the 7700 block of Waterloo Road, according to the Howard County Police Department. Police said that a temporary door made of plywood was kicked in at a warehouse on the site. A box of copper fittings and 40 feet of copper pipes were stolen, according to police. The incident occurred between 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 3, and 4 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 4, according to the report.

The Howard County Police Department provided the following information.
Police said that 200 batteries were stolen from Crazy Ray's auto yard in Jessup after a lock was cut. The batteries, which were nonfunctional, had been in storage beyond a gate that was blocked by junked cars and locked, according to the report. A woman living in Lyndwood off Marshalee Drive reported to police that someone tried to break into her townhome, leaving damage to the door frame and deadbolt. Howard County police said that the woman heard the doorbell ring, then a loud banging that sounded like kicking at the door at approximately 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 25. The woman, who had been in the basement, "ran up the stairs yelling" and looked through the front door peephole, according to police; she said she saw someone leaving her home on the 5900 block of Meadow Rose. A rear window was smashed at the Maryland Hospital Association and a laptop was stolen over the weekend at the Dorsey Business Center, according to the Howard County Police Department (HCPD). Police said the break-in occurred between 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, and 7:15 a.m. Monday, Sept. 24. Vehicle Theft A blue 1993 Honda Civic was stolen from the Route 1 Flea Market at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22.

Howard County Police Department supplied the following information.
Three instances of jewelry theft from residences in greater Elkridge are being investigated as related, according to Howard County police. Jewelry was stolen from a home on the 6300 block of Patuxent Quarter Road in Hanover Wednesday. Police said that a French door had been shattered and items were stolen from the master bedroom sometime between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. At the same time, another jewelry theft and home break-in occurred less than a mile away. Police said jewelry and a lock box were stolen from a home on the 6000 block of Adcock Lane in Hanover on Tuesday. The suspect(s) cut a porch screen and entered the Canbury Woods home through a partly open window, according to the Howard County Police Department's report. The suspect(s) took jewelry from three bedrooms and a lock box from the master bedroom closet, said police. The burglary occurred between 8 a.m. and 9:15 p.m. on Sept. 18. In June, there were two break-ins on Adcock Lane, according to Howard County police. On June 26, police said money was stolen after someone entered a home on the 6000 block of Adcock Lane through a glass door. The following information was provided by the Howard County Police Department.
Police charged a 51-year-old man with burglary after finding him in a vacant Elkridge home with tools, according to a report from the Howard County Police Department (HCPD). At approximately 2:15 p.m. on Sept. 12, an officer went into a boarded-up house on the 7100 block of Montgomery Road that had been burglarized before after police noticed what they deemed a suspicious vehicle outside, said HCPD. Inside the home, the officer found a man who had tools in his possession. The officer arrested the man, who was charged with first-degree burglary. Police say they caught a burglary suspect red-handed with cash from an Ekridge store he allegedly robbed. Joseph Charles Williams, 53, of Patterson, NJ, was charged with 22 counts of burglary, nine counts of malicious destruction of property and four counts of theft in connection with three businesses burglarized on Marshalee Drive Sunday morning. Police said that Williams broke into Naima's Hair Design, Hunan Express and Great Clips. A newspaper delivery driver reported that the glass door to Naima's Hair Design had been shattered at approximately 3:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 9, according to the Howard County Police Department (HCPD). Two generators, a pair of gas cans and a snow thrower were stolen from the 8300 block of Lawyers Hill Road, according to police. The items had been inside one of two sheds that were broken into at the location in Elkridge, said police. The theft occurred between 12 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 6, and 10:45 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 7. A basement window was removed from a residence on the 8000 block of Green Tree Court, reported police. Nothing was taken, according to the report. Burglary Tuesday follows fire on Monday at Mel's Liquors.
Police were called to Mel's Liquors, where a fire broke out on Monday, for an apparent burglary on Tuesday. The Jessup liquor store had been boarded up after a Labor Day blaze broke out in the early hours Monday. On Tuesday, an unknown amount of beer was stolen from Mel's Liquors, on the 7900 block of Waterloo Road, according to the Howard County Police Department.
