ReplyOakland Mills has the Highest Violent Crime Percentage in Columbia and the Highest
number of Gang Members in Columbia. It has been this way since the late 90's! Peaceful? I think not... I will repeat myself here : People need to buy a scanner and listen to the police activity in this county! While the entire county has seen an increase in not only petty theft type crime, violent crimes have risen as well. This thing happens more and more each year. You would be suprised as to how crime stats are actually recorded! Wake up, we are living in the beginning of the New Wild West! -

ReplyIf you look at some of the addresses some are living with parents. The areas they are in are not all section 8 housing. I agree that some section 8 residents bring trouble but some of these thugs are little upper middle class " wanna be " thugs that momma and daddy say do no wrong. As retired law enforcement I have seen this first hand in middle class families. Surprisingly, while there was only one residential parent in the home BOTH were active in the up bringing of the child. The problem of growing wanna be thugs is a National trend and one that governments often ignore as does most of society.

ReplyLooking at some of the Howard county addresses and the ages of the arrested, they were living in somewhat nice areas of the county. So parents were involved somewhere I am sure. As for the police not knowing, well they have been tracking gang Movement in the county since the early to mid nineties. They knew they were here. It is a secret well kept from the communities to make the county appear safer then it really is!

ReplySo the service was nice, except that the Governor, who thinks he is the King of Marylandistan, decides to leave early, apparently not telling anyone after his speech. Wow, some honor there! He leaves and Kamenetz awards the proclamations and lays the wreath! The was OWEMALLY's job and again he fails. No respect for the heroes huh Marty? You should be ashamed of yourself!

ReplyJust saw a news clip of KK smiling and acting happy over his outburst. I guess he got the last word in like most dopes in politics do so he was happy. If I were the folks involved with the protest I would call a press conference so they get the "Last Word"!
KK is running the local Govt. of Balto. Co. Into the ground! His arrogance and pompous attitude will be what does him in. He is just like the "disgraced" (as the media puts it) Ex- Co. exec. In AA Co.!
