Kiel McLaughlin, Neighbor

Most people wouldn't guess from his current profession as Johns Hopkins University's marketing communications coordinator that Kiel McLaughlin's first love in life is sports. A recent graduate of Towson University, McLaughlin worked his way up from a staff writing position to editor in chief of the college's independent student-newspaper, The Towerlight. While his favorite position during his tenure at Towson was sports editor, he also enjoyed sinking his teeth into hard news, including campus drug crackdowns and tensions between the university and the local community. He describes himself as a "die hard" Baltimore Orioles fan, despite the last dozen years.
