On the article Retiring at 50: Could You Follow This Woman's Extreme Savings Plan?

ReplyAll her retirement savings are in a 401K. That made good financial sense in the past, and by "past" I'm referring to the glory days before Quantitative Easing 1,2,3 and 4. Today having all your retirement capital or any capital for that matter sitting in a financial system precariously perched and completely dependent upon derivatives is a recipe for financial disaster.

On the article Brochin Gives Death Penalty Referendum '50-50 Chance'

ReplyPlacing the death penalty on the 2014 ballot via a petition will merely be an act of defiance. Just like the Maryland political redistricting, dream act and gay marriage referendums before it, the will of the people does not affect mandated government policies no matter the votes. A petition is merely a joke on the voters allowed by government in attempt to pacify the voters and reiterate the fallacious perception that the voters actually have a say by casting a ballot.

Hey Dr. Dave, cease and desist with calling out the patch troll (in this case using the screen name "Steve") with actual facts, as you may hurt the trolls feelings. In the socialist state of Maryland hurting feelings is not politically correct and thus could potentially manifest into a law suit or any other form of illegal punishment.

Dr. Dave as a well educated man I'm sure it is painfully obvious to you that any attempt to intelligently debate with the "Fool In Fallacious Advertising aka FIFA" is a complete waste of your time and energy. That said FIFA's pathetic attempts to appear intelligent are entertaining indeed.

Well said Dr. Dave. The best part about being in the medical field is there will always be plenty of work and you can relocate anywhere you wish. A friend's father was employed with John Hopkins and became disturbed with big pharma, hospital politics and especially the socialist trends in Maryland. He relocated his family and his private practice to Idaho and loves the lower cost of living as well as treating people who sometimes may pay in precious metals, guns or wild game. God speed to you and your family Doc.

" my complaint is that unless laws are applied universally in the various states or by Congress, if you can't buy it here just go to Virginia.
Your complaint is completely irrelevant and emphasizes your lack of knowledge concerning gun laws. Allow me to educate you on federal gun law FIFA.
(A person not licensed under the GCA (National Gun Control Act) and not prohibited from acquiring firearms may purchase a firearm from an out-of-State source and obtain the firearm if an arrangement is made with a licensed dealer in the purchaser’s State of residence for the purchaser to obtain the firearm from the dealer.)[18 U.S.C. 922(a)(3) and 922(b)(3)]As a resident of Maryland it is not possible to legally purchase any gun in any state from a federal firearms dealer without submitting the proper paperwork & or background checks required for Maryland. If it is private sales your concerned with, again your point is moot as even in the socialist state of Maryland private gun sales are still legal. Thus there would be no need to travel to another state for a private sale.

Sadly the assault on tactical weapons and the Second Amendment in general has absolutely nothing to do with preventing people from killing other people. The assault on the Second Amendment is 100% all about controlling law abiding citizens who refuse to be dependent on an ever growing tyrannical government hell bent on the demise of the once greatest Free nation on earth, the United States of America.

Steve is a very ill equipped troll. I do find the trolls posts amusing, and I'm still amazed the troll has the ability to actually log on to a computer.

As a collector I love Gun turn in's. The police offer $25 gift certificates and I offer a tenth of the current market value which is much more than the measly $25 gift certificate. I must say, I had way higher numbers of gun acquisitions than the police had turn in's. I love the socialist state of Maryland!
