Old Waterloo 7-Eleven Held Up at Gunpoint

Attempted robbery, two residential break-ins and vehicle theft were among crimes recently reported in Elkridge, according to police.

The 7-Eleven on Old Waterloo Road was held up on Sunday evening in an attempted robbery that left the suspect empty-handed, according to police.

At approximately 11:12 p.m. on Dec. 11, a man approached the clerk at the 7-Eleven in Lark Brown Shopping Center, showed a gun and demanded money, said police.

“The clerk had just made a deposit and showed there was very little money in the register,” said Howard County Police Department. “The suspect fled the store without taking any cash.”

Police described the suspect as a white male in his twenties wearing a camouflage vest and black pants; according to the description, he was approximately 5'6" and 160 pounds.

Residential Break-Ins and Vehicle Theft

A 1994 blue Toyota Camry was reported stolen from the 6600 block of Aspern Drive on Saturday, Dec. 10. 

On Thursday, Dec. 8, there was a break-in at a residence on the 6300 block of Montgomery Road. The back door was kicked in, according to police, who said the incident was reported at approximately 12:45 p.m., and nothing was stolen.

Also on Thursday, at 11:05 a.m., collectible coins and cash were stolen from a residence on the 5900 block of Forest Court. Police said that a glass pane was removed from the back door to gain entry.
