We had a really good time hearing Elizabeth Janney’s stories about how she joined the Patch, how she fell in love with Elkridge, and what it was like trying to put the book “Elkridge” together. She is also taking notes for a next edition so if you have old pictures and stories that you think would enhance it, please let her know! We even talked about the possibility of a “Then and Now” book. Wouldn’t Elkridge be a grand candidate for one of those? We have so much history tucked away in our area, and yet the area has changed drastically too. Thanks to all who attended, and a special big Thank You to Elizabeth.
We sold a lot of our copies of the book, but we still have more which Elizabeth signed for us, and Elizabeth has more too. You can purchase a book on our web-site. When we sell the rest of ours, we will start helping Elizabeth with her stock! This book will make a great Christmas gift for all your Elkridge friends and relatives.

As with all our products, we can only accept PayPal payment through our “store”. (It’s still on my to-do list to add more options.) If you have a PayPal account, you can add the book to your cart, and then check out, making sure to follow all the instructions and to hit “Continue” until you get sent to the official PayPal site, where you need to click a “Submit” button one more time to make the sale go through. If you want to pay by credit card, you can do as we’ve done in the past, and make a $25 donation on line. Just make sure you email us at info@elkridgeheritage.org to make sure we know you are buying a book as opposed to a regular donation or membership payment. We are charging $25 on line because we will have to pay the Post Office to ship the book. However, if you want to arrange a meeting in person to purchase a book, just contact EHS at info@elkridgeheritage.org. You can pay $20 by cash or check in person. When you buy from us, you are supporting the Elkridge Heritage Society, and/or helping defray the costs that Elizabeth had to pay up front for photograph copyrights and the like, in order to bring us this fabulous book!
