Hungry Elkridge Burglar: Crime Roundup

Residential burglary
Police do not know how someone got into a home in the 8000 block of Riker Road sometime between July 7 and July 14. The burglar stole a jar of coins, jewelry and prescription medicine. The burglar also may have been hungry as a jar of peanut butter was left out.

Police say someone was walking on the foot path in the 5800 block of Stevens Forest Road on July 13 at about 7:3 p.m. when someone came up to him, asking to use his phone. The victim said no and the robber punched him the face and stole his phone. The robber then left on a bicycle.
Description: Police say the robber is a black man in his mid-20s. He was wearing a blue doo rag, a red shirt, beige shorts and was riding a red bicycle.
Residential burglary
Police say that on July 9, someone entered a vacant apartment in the 8600 block of Cobblefield Drive at about 2:30 p.m. The property manager was showing the apartment when she found a door had been locked from the inside. Then, she said, she saw someone leaving the apartment. When she asked him who he was, he gave a fake name. Police said someone found a wallet on the property with identification that matched the robber. Police are still investigating.
A resident had been away from her home in the 8800 block of Tidesebb Court between July 5 and July 13. When she returned home, the resident said her basement door was slightly open, a window broken, and a fence had been knocked down. Nothing was reported stolen.

Commercial burglary
Police don’t know how someone got into the Saint Johns Lane Swim Club, in the 9200 block of Marydell Road, late the night of July 12 or early the next morning. Chairs and trashcans had been thrown into the swimming pool and a drinking fountain was pulled from the wall. Nothing was reported stolen.
Clarksville
Residential burglary
Police responded to the 7000 block of Westcott Place on July 12 at about 4 p.m. for a reported burglary in process. A neighbor told police that a male and female entered the vacant home through a door on the deck. The burglars left when police arrived; police apprehended two juveniles who broke into the home to smoke marijuana. They were arrested and release into their parents' custody.

Residential burglary attempt
A neighbor saw someone kicking out fencing to get into the yard of a home in the 7700 block of Sharewood Drive on July 12 at about 11:15 a.m. The would-be burglar was getting ready to kick in the back door when the neighbor confronted him. The intruder left the scene.
Description: Police say the burglar is a white man, 5-feet-6-inches tall weighing about 130 pounds. He was wearing a dark shirt with white lettering on the back.
County-wide vehicle thefts
A green Acura Integra was reported stolen on July 13 from the 5700 block of Stevens Forest Road.
