Elkridge Hurricanes Take the Title.. and the Tournament.. And More
Congrats to the Hurricanes, winners of the 2013 Cal Ripken 8U MD State Title.
The Elkridge Youth Organization’s (EYO) Elkridge Hurricanes 8U division travel baseball team has taken home the 2013 Cal Ripken 8U MD State Title – for the third time in three years.
According to head coach Randy Bosley, the team had to win seven games in all. “We went undefeated the entire tournament and beat a good Queen Anne’s County team to take home the 2013 Cal Ripken 8U MD State title.”
The team also came out on top for the 2013 MABA season, with a 16-2 record and won the Stars ‘n’ Strikes 8u division tournament, hosted by EYO.

How did they do it? A lot of practice. “[We] practice all fall and started winter workouts in January 2103 to get ready for a few preseason tournaments before our regular MABA season started."
